With air source the energy from the outdoor air is utilized, a good option if you can't or won't drill or dig in your plot. Instead, the energy is taken directly from the air that surrounds us by using an air unit.
To get a complete air source heat pump system, which provides both heat and hot water for your home, requires the heat pump to be a so-called air water heat pump. (If you use air to air heat pump however, brings you only hot air into your house, but no hot water).

The advantage of an air source heat pump is that you get a lower cost for installation. There is also no impact on your plot if you decide to use air source. The only disadvantage with an air source heat pump that uses air as an energy source, is that it gives slightly lower efficiency at very low temperatures in the winter time.
