Hot water production |
Approximately 20 percent or more of a heat pump energy output is used to produce hot water. Obviously one wants enough hot water for everyone in the house. It is important to set the correct requirement.
Not unnecessarily hot
Raising the hot tap water temperature from 55-60 °C to 65 °C sounds alright. But water that hot is not necessary. The annual efficiency is significantly reduced for every degree hotter that is demanded. In addition, a heat pump that does not produce unnecessarily hot water will have a longer service life.
It is more important to produce more hot water so quickly that no one has to wait for it. At lowest possible cost. |
